As a technical artist I solved an issue where the animated Vista logo appeared extremely pixilated in the Operating System although it looked great in Flash. My technical tenacity on this project led me to work with various team members, and eventually redesign both the art and animation and create the finalized logo from a mockup. The finalized logo was created in Illustrator, imported into Flash, and the exported using a proprietary internal tool. My example here is of this Vista logo being used on the homepage of Microsoft's website.

I drove a redesign of the existing User Interface for the Ease of Access Dialog Window during log on. I coordinated meetings between three different teams to work through the issues uncovered through several redesigns until all parties agreed upon the best solution to be implemented within Narrator, Magnifier, FiltersKeys, and other Ease of Access tools. To visually create each proposed redesign I used Photoshop for images and Combustion to create videos that illustrated the work flow.

I created a mock-up of what a future Power Point presentation could look like with 3D and special effects incorporated into the program. I followed the stylized guidelines that were requested for this project and used 3Ds Max, Photoshop and Illustrator to create art assets. I then animated these graphics in Combustion and compressed the video with Windows Media from a 2 GB file to 14 MB.

I created and worked on graphical representations for the Windows Vista Users Experience Guidelines. These guidelines are currently available on an internal website to Microsoft employees and affiliates. The graphics supporting the guidelines aid in creating full comprehension to all Windows teams that need to conform to the Vista standard.

This Fluke27 Analog / Digital Multimeter will be part of a US Naval training simulation.
It will be a fully functional Flash animation by giving the user a reading of other equipment in the virtual training project.

This SIMPSON 260 Analog Multimeter is also for a US Naval training simulation.
It was a challenge to create the arching measurement ranges.
I was able to overcome this by using text to path, font tracking and font sizing on the
capital letter "I" in Adobe Illustrator.

Here is a sample of the in-game Heads-Up-Display for Vigilante Justice. The elements such as the radar (top right), text, and health meter (lower left) are dynamically created in the game by applying an alpha channel (for opacity) to the elements obtained from the 1024X1024 Targa (pictured below).

This is the raw image used by the programmers to create the in-game Heads-Up-Display (seen above). These individual elements are projected onto 3D planes in front of the camera's view during game play.

This is a VHS video sleeve for an independent movie called The Tripp File. The image is a compilation of both actual photographs and still captures from the video. All work was completed using Illustrator and Photoshop. Working with the director, Lewis Rhames, we developed the layout to target his prospective audience. This movie can be found at Scarecrow Video.
